In 2019 ZonMw, a grant program in the Netherlands, launched the first international research program on Microplastics & Health. While a first series of projects has started, many questions remain unanswered. That is why ZonMw has been commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management to work on a knowledge agenda on microplastics; what are the knowledge gaps from policy, research and practice? This research agenda will be the foundation the follow-up of the Microplastics & Health program.
In order to gain a complete insight in the knowledge gaps, ZonMW asks expert input on two area’s: inventory of knowledge questions and gaps, and identifying the most promising research area’s and innovations. The link to their open survey can be found here
